The Surface Laptop; Microsoft Combines Elegance with Performance
Even though we have seen it all from Microsoft when it released tablets with kickstands, expensive desktops and laptops with detachable tablet screens, it really didn’t convince us all to use a new kind of computer. But FINALLY, we think Microsoft is on its right course to attract us and keep us hooked. A powerful enough laptop to run all your apps, a thin enough structure to carry around with high-resolution screen and an impressive keyboard at a reasonable price, the Surface Laptop might just be the next-generation’s first choice.
The rumours reveal us three things. First, the Surface Laptop resembles MacBook Air. Second, the Surface Laptop has fabric on it. And the third, the laptop is said to run on a limited version called Windows 10 S.
The Surface Laptop Hardware
Striking a precise balance between portability, performance and the power, the Surface Laptop looks remarkably like what MacBook Air did in second-generation 2010. However, it is not entirely fair to think the Surface Laptop resembles an Air, because it comes in different colours and in fabric. Also, when Air and almost every other laptop is aiming for soft lines and gentle curves in their shapes, the Surface Laptop aims for the angularity.
Another remarkable difference between the two is the 13.5 touchscreen with a big, beautiful pixel-dense feature.
The Surface Pen
The laptop is said to be compatible with the Surface Pen which is sold separately. The screen does not seem to fold flat so that you will only want to use it for quick things.
Microsoft Surface Laptop Specifications
Processor: Intel Core i5 or i7
RAM: 4, 8 or 16GB
Graphics: Intel HD 620 or Iris 640
Screen: 13.5 inches, 3:2 aspect ratio, 2256 x 1504
Camera: 720p with Windows Hello
Weight: 2.76 pounds
Dimensions: 12.13 x 8.79 x 0.57 inches
Operating System: Windows 10 S (a free upgrade to Pro through December)
Battery Life: Claimed 14.5 hours for local video playback, but real-world use was closer to 8 to 9 hours.
Pixel 2018; Google’s Next Move in Conquering the Smartphone Market
An unswerving challenge to Apple’s iphone, Google abridged its Nexus programme last year in favor of the Pixel. Even though some might have thought it was just a subtle attempt of Google to rebrand the existing product to as if to make the latest thing feel fresh, the minority of us had faith in Google’s promise.
What with the rumours we are hearing about Google hiring new engineers signifies the distance Google is willing to go to take Apple at its own game.
Google’s Need to own its Supply Chain
Apple isn’t just about its software and the cutting edge hardware, Apple remains unmatched with its customer service. In analysing the Google’s satisfying past experience with the customers, one could only assume Google is the only company that has the potential to match the performance of Apple. Pixel represents the said capability and the willingness of Google to produce a cutting-edge product especially with a uniquely developed camera which still remains unmatched even after a many months.
Rumours indicate Google is looking forward to add the component of its own supply chain just as Apple does. Consequently it is justified to look forward to an LG-produced Google Phone at the end of this year. It is not impossible for Google to still use HTC as its anufacturing partner. Since the said LG-produced Google Phone seems less complicated.
Additionally, just as Apple does Google declares to reserve a vast amount of investment in LG display. The same manoeuvre helped Apple smooth out its supply deals. Even though unlike Apple, Google does not yet have the cards to place the bet, this situation will change over the year with the new Pixel.
Google’s New Taskforce
Rumours reveal that Google is designing its own system on a chip (SoC) for the mobile devices. The other news revealed the former senior engineer at Apple Manu Gulati was appointed to lead the said project. This manifests the ultimate commitment of Google to capture the smartphone market.

These issues include the software problems as well as the hardware problems. So here’s a list of downsides of the Samsung Galaxy S8 that you should check before buying one for you.
The Negatives of Samsung Galaxy S8:
After going through the reports from the analysts and complaints from its current users, here are some issues that the Samsung Galaxy S8 has actually got:
#1: Odd Placement of Fingerprint Scanner:
Although Samsung has got the futuristic feature of a fingerprint scanner, but its placement has really got odd. It is present just by the side of the camera that is too high to reach up there. This fingerprint scanner is really of use, but if it was placed in the right place, it would be the plus for the Samsung. But to the dismay, they have actually screwed it up.
#2: Face Recognition can be tricked by the Picture:
You might have heard of Samsung boasting its amazing biometric security features. But contrary to the claims of the company, even before the launch of the Galaxy S8 in the market, a blogger proved that its facial recognition feature is not that secure as Samsung purports. He showed that this feature can easily be tricked using a photo of the owner, making the face recognition feature vulnerable.
#3: No Major Improvements in the Camera:
