Fujifilm X-23 review

Fujifilm is well known for their range of mirrorless cameras and the Fujifilm X-23 is the latest camera in the X mirrorless series.

Build and key features of the Fujifilm X-23

The mirrorless camera comes with the company"s 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor. There is an OLED electronic viewfinder which has a 0.62x magnification. The display is a touchscreen display that makes it easy to use. Wi-Fi and NFC make its way to the device, so does Bluetooth, which is a first for the series. You should be able to easily transfer your images thanks to the connectivity options at hand, to share on social media.  4K video capture (3840 x 2160) at 30p as well as Full HD (1920 x 1080) at 60p is available too.

The Fujifilm X-23 weighs only 337g and has magnesium plates on the top and the bottom which give an elegant look to the camera. The camera is not weather sealed however and is currently the smallest X Series camera with a viewfinder. The back of the camera is vastly different from its predecessor. Gone are the buttons, and most of the navigating is to be done using the touchscreen.

Performance of the Fujifilm X-23

The camera takes just 0.4 seconds to start up, so rest assured you won"t be missing any sudden action. if you plan on taking action photos, you will be happy to hear that the camera can take 14 frames per second in burst mode. If you are using the mechanical shutter, however, the maximum you can go for is 8 frames per second. Images on the viewfinder are bright and vivid and since it has a 2.36m dot resolution, the details are rich. The camera makes use of Fujifilm"s tried and tested TTL 256-zone metering system, which performs well.
