NEW DELHI: Huawei"s sub-brand Honor is all set to launch its flagship smartphone Honor V10 in India in January, 2018. The company revealed that the smartphone will be exclusively available on Amazon and the customers who wish to purchase the device can register for it. The e-tailer is taking registrations for the smartphone starting today (December 28). The customers can choose from the two colour variants -- Navy Blue and Midnight Black.
Talking about the same, P Sanjeev, VP sales, Huawei India-Consumer Business Group, said, "Honor time and again has stirred up the smartphones industry in India, by introducing smartphone equipped with innovation and cutting-edge technologies. The Honor V10 will redefine what a smartphone can do and showcase the superior performance of Kirin 970"s smart AI engine. We are delighted to announce the registration date today so that our consumers don"t have to wait anymore."
For those unaware, the company launched the Honor V10 globally earlier this month at an event in London along with its budget smartphone Honor 7X. This is the first Honor smartphone to run Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box. The device is powered by company"s own AI Kirin 970 processor.
The device sports a bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes with a HD+ display with 1080x2160 pixel resolution. The display is made scratch resistant with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass on top.
The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup with 16MP RGB sensor and a 20MP monochrome sensor. The company claims that the camera incorporates artificial intelligence engine which offers Real-Time Scene. With the help of this technology the smartphone can identify 13 different types of scenes and objects and automatically adjusts the camera settings for the perfect shot.
The front of the smartphone houses a 13MP front camera with AI support. The users can capture beautiful selfies and can also unlock the smartphone using the front camera.
The device offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Users can add more storage by inserting a microSD card of up to 128GB.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type C and NFC. It is backed by a 3750mAh battery with fast charging support. The company claims that it can charge from 0 to 50% in just half an hour.
