The Huawei sub brand released the Honor V10 at a launch event in Beijing. The event enabled the public to gain insight on the latest flagship from this company. The Honor V10 will release in Europe on the fifth of December.
Design and display of the Honor V10
Since the V10 calls itself a flagship smartphone, it is of no surprise that the device comes with a “FullView” display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is 5.99 inches and is a Full HD Plus LCD display that offers a maximum resolution of 1,080 x 2,160.
However, the device amazingly still has space to squeeze in a front fingerprint scanner. It has the usual metal body design and just like all Honor vices, they feature quite flashy and bright colour. These include Aurora Blue, Gold, or Red and Black colours. There is no protection against water in the device, which is quite a let down, to be honest.
Spec sheet
When it comes to the processor, the Honor V10 has Huawei’s custom octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset. The smartphone comes in three different models, each with different RAMs and storage options. The cheapest option has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The highest spec’d device has 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage. Of course, all the models come with a Micro SD card slot that allows you to expand the storage up to 256 GB.
On the side of cameras, there is a dual camera system as can be expected. One is a 16 MP camera and the second is a 20 MP monochrome lens. It does not feature OIS but it comes with Real-Time Scene and Object Recognition. The latter makes use of Huawei’s AI tech. on the front is a 13 MP camera.
The device comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Furthermore, there is a 3,750 mAh battery that supports fast charging.
