Turtle Beach Stealth 700 review

With online game playing a major hit nowadays, a gaming headset is quite necessary to talk to team mates. Other than the communication factor, having rich audio certainly adds to the experience. This is where Turtle Beach enters with their new mid ranged Turtle Beach Stealth 700.

Design of the Turtle Beach Stealth 700

Yes, I mentioned mid range above, but the wireless headset does have high end specs. I say this because the headset includes features like active noise cancellation and DTS Headphone: X surround sound. It’s not just that, Turtle Beach bundles in their iconic Superhuman Hearing sound equalization for a true gaming experience. What this does is increase the footsteps of enemies during shooter games like Call of Duty. There is also Bluetooth in the headset, making it handy to use.

Inside the box is a USB wireless dongle. You will need to connect this to the Playstation’s optical port. The build quality is great and very sturdy. The ear cushions are comfortable while the rubber cushioning on the band adds to the ergonomic appeal.

Performance of the Turtle Beach Stealth 700

As with most Turtle Beach headsets, the sound quality is off the charts. The bass is deep as you like which goes along well with the dramatic effects of a game. It emits a warm sound with no distortions, even at high volumes. The company says that the headset can last through ten hours of usage. When tested, the real time usage was around the same. Ten hours should be enough for anyone who does gaming.

Made exclusively for the PlayStation 4, the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 is easy to connect to the gaming console. Prices at $150, the performance of this headset is much better than the price tag says. Moreover, it is excellent as a normal Bluetooth headset too!
